Admission Procedure for BA ,B.Com, B.Sc (CBZ),BCA, DCA & PGDCA

PRSU operates its UG programs under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) framework, focusing on flexibility, student mobility, and a Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS).

1. Key Features of NEP Admissions

Before applying, it is important to understand the structural changes introduced by NEP:

  • Mandatory ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credits): Every student must generate a unique ABC ID via DigiLocker. This digital repository stores all the academic credits earned by a student, enabling seamless credit transfer if you switch colleges or universities.
  • Multiple Entry and Exit System:
    • Exit after 1 Year: Awarded an Undergraduate Certificate.
    • Exit after 2 Years: Awarded an Undergraduate Diploma.
    • Exit after 3 Years: Awarded a Bachelor’s Degree (Traditional 3-year degree).
    • Exit after 4 Years: Awarded a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours / Research.
  • Multidisciplinary Subject Choice: Students are no longer restricted to a single stream. You will choose a Major (Core) Subject, a Minor Subject, and Skill-Enhancement/Multidisciplinary Courses during registration.

2. Step-by-Step NEP Admission Procedure

The entire application process is centralized and conducted online through the PRSU portal:

A.    ABC ID Generation

Step 1

Visit the official portal abc.gov.in or use DigiLocker to create your Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID using your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. This ID is mandatory to fill out the university form.

B.     Online Registration on PRSU Portal

Step 2

Go to the official PRSU admission website (prsu.ac.in or prsuuniv.in) during the admission window (usually June–July). Register using your basic details, mobile number, email, and ABC ID.

C.     Selecting College & Subject Combination

Step 3

Choose whether you want to apply for the PRSU Campus (UTD) or its affiliated colleges. Under the NEP structure, select your preferred combination of Major, Minor, and Multidisciplinary subjects available at that specific college.

D.    Uploading Documents & Fee Payment

Step 4

Upload scanned copies of your 10th & 12th marksheets, caste certificate, and domicile certificate. Pay the online university registration fee to complete your application.

E.     Merit List & Seat Allotment

Step 5

PRSU and its colleges release round-wise merit lists ( first, second , third )  based on your 12th-grade percentages. If your name appears on the list, download the allotment letter from the portal.

F.      Physical Verification & Fee Submission

Step 6

Visit the allotted college with all your original documents. Once the college authorities verify your documents physically, pay the institutional admission fee to secure your seat.

3.Guidelines for Diploma Courses

  • Undergraduate Diplomas (10+2 Level): For short-term professional or vocational diplomas after the 12th, the selection is purely merit-based following the same online registration portal timeline.
  • Post Graduate Diplomas (PGDCA / Professional Diplomas): These require a completed Bachelor's Degree (usually with a minimum of 45\% to 50\% aggregate marks). Admission is granted based on graduation merit lists or specific department-level entrance interviews.
